About Voices for Hospices
Voices for Hospices was originated by Sheila Hurton in 1989. Her initial aim was to raise funds and awareness for Princess Alice Hospice in Esher but such was the appeal of her idea of singing voices joining together to support the Hospice movement that VfH became a global event.
At its height VfH involved more than 500 concerts in over 60 countries and although numbers have dwindled slightly in recent years there are still many active and passionate supporters though out the world.
The VfH Choir has been set up to help re establish Sheila’s original vision.
Our stated mission is ‘To support through music, and particularly singing, the wonderful work done by Hospices to help those with end of life and life limiting illnesses.’
Membership of the VfH Choir is open to all – please contact us to find out how to join and become part of this exciting event.
